Waitlist privacy notice

This notice covers only the WOW waitlist on this website. The WOW app will have its own privacy policy before launch.

What we collect

• Your email address, first name and city.
• If you choose to tell us: your gender and who you're looking for.
• Your confirmation that you're 18 or older, and when you gave consent.
• Who referred you (their referral code), your own referral code, and how many friends joined with it.
• Where you came from: campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source) and the referring website.
• A one-way scrambled form of your IP address, used only to stop spam. We don't store the IP address itself.

Why we collect it

To hold your place in line, email you about WOW's launch and your place in line, plan which cities to open first, and keep bots off the list. We collect this with your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form. We don't sell it and we don't use it for advertising profiles.

Who handles it

The list is stored with Neon (database) and the site runs on Vercel, which serve us as data processors. Data may be stored on servers outside India, in Singapore.

How long we keep it

Until WOW launches in your city and for up to 6 months after, or until you ask us to delete it, whichever comes first. Spam-check records are deleted after 24 hours.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete your waitlist data, or withdraw consent, at any time. Email privacy@portyx.in from the address you signed up with. We'll act on it within 30 days. Every email we send will have a one-click way to stop receiving them.

If you aren't happy with how we handled a request, you can complain to us at the same address, and you may also have the right to approach the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

18+ only

WOW is for adults. If you're under 18, please don't join. If we learn someone under 18 has signed up, we delete their data.
