Community Guidelines

Effective EFFECTIVE DATE

WOW works when people feel safe being themselves. These guidelines apply to your profile, photos, prompts, voice prompt, comments and chats, and to how you treat people you meet through WOW. They are part of our Terms of Use.

Be real

• Use your own first name, your real age and recent photos of you.
• One account per person. No fake profiles, catfishing or pretending to be someone else.
• Do not use AI to make photos or a voice that pass as you when they are not, and never make AI images of other real people.

18 and over, always

WOW is for adults only. Any sexual content involving someone under 18, or any attempt to contact a minor, gets a permanent ban and is reported to the police, as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 requires. If a profile looks underage, report it.

Respect consent

• If someone does not reply, unmatches or says no, stop. Do not follow them to other apps.
• Do not send sexual messages or images to someone who has not clearly asked for them.
• Never share someone's private photos, messages or details outside WOW.
• Recording or sharing intimate images of anyone without consent is a crime. We remove it within 24 hours of a complaint and ban the account.

Keep it clean

No nudity, sexual acts or sexually explicit content in photos, prompts or voice prompts. Swimwear is fine; explicit is not.

No hate, no harassment

We do not allow insults, slurs or threats about anyone's gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, caste, race, ethnicity, region, language, disability, body or age. No bullying, stalking, doxxing or threats of violence.

No money, no selling

• Never ask a match for money, gifts, recharges, crypto or "investment" help. This is the most common scam on dating apps.
• No selling products, services, followers or links, no promoting other apps, and no sex work or escort services.

No illegal activity

Nothing illegal under Indian law, including drugs, weapons, gambling and fraud.

Be safe offline

Meet in public, tell a friend, and get yourself home. See our Safety tips. Harming or threatening someone you met on WOW gets a permanent ban and we cooperate with the police.

What happens if you break the rules

Depending on how serious it is, we may:

1. remove the content;
2. warn you;
3. limit features or suspend your account for a period;
4. permanently ban you and keep what we need to stop you from coming back;
5. report you to the police or other authorities.

Serious harm (anything involving minors, threats, violence, intimate images or scams) goes straight to a permanent ban.

How to report

Tap the menu on any profile or chat and choose Report. Pick a reason (fake profile, harassment, inappropriate content, underage, scam or other) and add details if you can. The person is not told who reported them. Reporting also lets you block them so they disappear for good.
