Delete your account

You can delete your WOW account and data at any time. You do not need to give a reason.

In the app

Open WOW and go to your Profile.
Tap Settings.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, use the request form at the bottom of this page, or email grievance@itswow.dating from the email address linked to your account (or tell us your Apple sign-in email) with the subject Delete my WOW account. We will confirm it is you, then delete the account. We acknowledge within 24 hours and finish within 15 days.

What happens when you delete

Straight away, your profile disappears from Discover, Picks and Likes You, you are removed from every match, and your chats are closed.
Within 30 days, we delete your profile, photos, prompts, voice prompt, verification selfie, likes, matches, messages and location from our live systems. Backups are cleared within BACKUP RETENTION.
What we keep: if your account was reported or banned, we keep the minimum record needed to handle the case and stop banned people from coming back, for up to SAFETY RECORD RETENTION. We keep service logs for at least 180 days, and purchase records as long as tax law requires. See the Privacy Policy.

Deleting cannot be undone. If you come back later you will start a new account.

Delete some data, keep your account

You can remove photos, prompts or your voice prompt in the profile editor, and turn off location in your phone's settings. To ask us to delete anything else, write to grievance@itswow.dating.

Cancel WOW+ separately

Deleting your account does not cancel WOW+. Apple and Google bill you, so cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions. See Subscriptions.

If you signed in with Apple, you can also remove WOW from Settings > [your name] > Sign-In & Security > Sign in with Apple on your iPhone.
